March 11, 2016 – Worcester, Mass. – Xenoma Inc., will be unveiling its new “e-skin” at SXSW from March 13-16, 2016. Xenoma’s e-skin demo will be available in the Todai to Texas booth of SXSW. Since e-skin’s debut at CES2016, developers and users have taken notice of its ease of use and wearing comfort for free-form motion capture applications.
As the Virtual Reality (VR) gaming market continues its growth path, software developers and system integrators will need a user-friendly solution to freely track motion in any environment. Xenoma’s e-skin is the answer. Using four sensors per arm, e-Skin can detect the user’s motion necessary for fluid and accurate representation in a variety of game simulations.
Founded in November 2015 as a spin-off from the Someya Lab at the University of Tokyo, Xenoma combines user-friendly electronic interfaces with state-of-the-art materials development and leverages existing apparel manufacturers in Japan to create the next generation in smart wearable apparel. Xenoma has offices in Japan (Tokyo), and has recently announced the opening of their U.S. office in Worcester, MA at the Worcester Clean Tech Incubator (www.wcti.org).
